Understanding the children
How we work
In order to provide a good service to the children, we have to map alot. We do this in different ways.
We have mapping forms that we use in interviews with parents and network, observations made of the children in interaction with others, and we check how and what they communicate.
It is important that we find out what the children like and are interested in, and also dont likes and and challenges. Thats how we best arrange for the children to experience meaningful days where they participate actively, are challenged and grow.

Activities
By using enjoyable activities, you can contribute to good experiences and mastery. At the daycenter, we have everything from various table activities, conceptual learning, physical activity, local environment tasks and music & dance. Laughter and smiles are good measuring parameters for whether the children are enjoying themselves

Understanding
Activities such as lotto games, memory and drawing can be good ways to map what level the children are at. Usong these activities, you can gain an understanding of the childs intellectual abilities, interaction with others, turn-taking, conceptual learning, motor and physical skills, concentration, attention and patience.
