We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the important cooperation between committed actors who work together to improve the everyday lives of children. Such cooperation creates a sense of mastery and represents an important learning arena for young people.
Not all children are equally fortunate, and it is therefore essential to teach Norwegian students about global inequalities and about how each of us can contribute in meaningful ways.
Hjalmar Johansen High School has chosen to support our work at the day center in Gambia for children with various disabilities, and in December the school arranged a fundraising day where students sold cakes to raise money for the center. This initiative demonstrates solidarity in practice, and we hope that more schools will be inspired to carry out similar solidarity projects with real meaning and impact.
